Reviews for HQ Series Symphony Professional Kite (2.2 Rainbow) (Toy) So I went to meet my buddy at Fort Casey to fly some kites with the kids. He busts out his Symphony 2.2 and lets me "pilot." I have never known kite flying like this!!! I must have nosed his 1-2 year old kite into the ground about 10 times before I got the hang of it. When he took over the controls the only thing on my mind was getting them back.
When I got home I ordered 2 of these kites from Amazon..one for me and one for my older brother's birthday, I knew he'd like it...and he did!
I've only got about 4-5 hours on mine, but it has been a blast. I did have one line break in about 30 knots of wind so I did order a new line set (about $18.)
I have let two others fly my kite On-Base at Cliffside Park...one has ordered exactly the same kite and the other is waiting for payday.
As I type this I am preparing to buy another of the same for my younger brother....his birthday is coming up and we are going to be at Long Beach!
This Kite will fly in fairly low winds (though not that much fun) but in stronger winds (12+ knots) this kite is a THRILL! It will give one heck of a pull.
Truely, you don't fly this kite....you pilot it.
Please understand, this review is being written by a novice, I don't have any plans to go Kite surfing any time soon, and I wouldn't have bought a different first kite.
PS. I wouldn't let my 7 year old fly this kite unless the winds were REALLY light or unless he weighed in at 100lbs....
