Prism EO Atom Box Kite, Spectrum Description

Unique design pops open ready to fly, no assembly required.Ready to fly with 200 ft of flying line and winder included.Flies stable like a balloon or does playful tumbling tricks with a tug of the line.Relaunches from any ground position just by tugging on the line.Wide wind range. Like an irresistible lure, our new EO (Expandable Object) box kites always attract a crowd. The original brainchild of Phil McConnachie, internationally acclaimed Australian designer, the EOs are dynamic box kites that soar like a traditional single-liner, or with a tug on the line they become playful tumblers with a fascinating range of tricks. The EO Atom is the newest and smallest member of the series. Like the others, it folds flat and pops open ready to fly, no assembly required. The three intersecting planes give it great stability but let you experiment with a wide range of tumbling tricks by slacking the line. The Atom also has a nice feature for the occasional unplanned landing: No matter which way it lands, you can relaunch it instantly just by tugging on the string.

Costumer Reviews

2.8 Out Of 5 Stars (4 Customer Reviews)
Reviews for Prism Kites EO Atom Box Kite (Sports) I've been flying 2 line Prism stunt kites for some time with my older kids, and thought this single line kite might be fun for my six year old. Contrary to my expectations, this is not a "release to the wind and let it go" type kite.

The good: The kite will do all kinds of "tricks" on it's own, flipping upside down, climbing and falling, zipping right to left, etc., so it's certainly more interesting and engaging to fly than a "regular" kite.

The bad: The kite spends a lot of time on the ground unless the person flying it is skilled. It's easy to get the kite 10 - 12 feet in the air, but at that height if it turns upside down it will tend to steer itself back to earth. The kite is marketed as being launchable from any orientation, that's not exactly true.
Reviews for Prism Kites EO Atom Box Kite (Sports) This is the easiest kite I have ever owned in terms of set-up, flying and storage. The quality is top-notch and I wish more kites had this kind of collapsible design. It even does some tumbling tricks which was a bit of a surprise.
Reviews for Prism Kites EO Atom Box Kite (Sports) I love the kite, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to fly in the air! The only thing I haven't tried is flying it in strong winds, which might be the solution.
